It's hard to believe but we have finished the bloc

It's hard to believe but we have finished the block making stage of our #kindredspiritsqal and this week are bringing them and the borders altogether to make a quilt top! So exciting to be at this stage in our penultimate week! A little break in my filming schedule means I could spend some time putting my #britbee round 4 quilt together! As you can see it's too big for my design board!! This is our final week making blocks in #kindredspiritsqal . We have 1 x 9" Circle of Hearts block and 2 x 9" Orange Peel blocks to make, both applique and both very simple!! We are into our last few weeks of #kindredspiritsq

We are into our last few weeks of #kindredspiritsqal And this week we are making two Spools blocks. The history of this block goes back 1900 when The Ladies Art Company designed an empty spool block to serve as a reminder of when women on both sides of the early American Civil war gave over all their fabrics and threads to the making of lint and bandages for the war effort. I'm sure we will have much less drama from our kindred spirits this week!! #sewingcommunity #quiltalong #samplerquilt #quiltblocks #justjudedesigns #spoolsblock

We've got a new Denim Zippy Pouch class coming up with @craftymonkies ! This will be a fun reuse/repurpose/recycle class using old jeans and denim scraps!
We'll cover lots of techniques including:

🌟Adding a zip with covered zipper ends
🌟Setting up your machine for bulky fabrics
