Christmas Makes!

I haven't been my usual prolific self this year when it comes to handmade Christmas gifts!

However I did manage to make a few presents:

Notelet Folios:

These A6 size notelet carriers were the brain child of my uber talented friend @sewmesarah who shrunk my Journal Cover pattern down into adorably cute notelet folios!

You may remember I had a little play date with some denim when I made this one a few weeks back.

Well I gifted this one as a Christmas present as well as 4 others!

These are great for using up your scraps and come together in no time!

My exterior panels are quilted onto Heavy Sew-In Interfacing (which gives structure without the bulk!) and the elastic pen holder and button loop closure make them super practical.

Inside there are 2 flaps which will take standard size notelets and envelopes and an additional pocket for a book of stamps!

The cards I had included in each of these folios where by a very talented young man called Oliver Hellowell. Oliver has Down Syndrome, and has the most amazing talent for taking beautiful photos of nature, animals, flowers and landscapes.

You can buy Oliver's cards singly or in packs of 5. If you are someone who is inpsired by the most beautiful colours and images of wildlife you will love Oliver's cards. Go check out his website here, you won't be disappointed!

So my 5 Notelet Folios were all sent out to friends and colleagues, fully stocked with notelets and stamps! I really enjoyed making these scrappy cases. The design possibilities are endless!

His & Hers Stockings:

My other Christmas makes were 2 Christmas stockings for my daughter and son-in-law! Unfortunately WordPress is refusing to upload the photos so I'll post about them another day when I can chase out the gremlins!

In other news, I'm happy to report that I acquired the keys to my new house 5 days before Christmas day! Yay! Best (& most expensive) Christmas present ever!

While there is some work to be done to the house before I can move in, I'm turning the corner into 2022 with excitement and anticipation of soon being able to establish a new home and getting to know my new community, the start of another new chapter!

Happy New Year!
