These are the adorable, fresh Tilda fabrics I was sent. I'm totally swooning over those 60's style florals! You can read more here about Tilda's inspiration behind these prints.
As you can see, I'm the last 'stop on the hop' and this is what I made:
The 6 fat quarters have made this cutesy quilt, measuring at 35" x 53".
I wanted to stretch the fabrics out as far as they would go, so I kept the piecing to a minimum. Here's what I did:
I used more Tilda (from other collections) for the backing and binding.
Isn't it clever how the QSTs technique distributes all the fabrics evenly throughout the quilt!
And if you'd like to have a go at making your own QSTs and HSTs, check out my tutorial here.
This little quilt is now the perfect addition to my recycled church pew!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I've made in this blog hop.
And I also hope we have inspired you to try something new using these delicious fabrics!
Happy sewing!
I really like the simplicity of this design, it shows off the patterns of the fabric without making lots of effort in cutting and piecing tiny points!
