Thank you everyone for your fab response to my #logcabinheartblocks tutorial on YouTube. Lots of you are having great fun making these sweet blocks. Here is the large size as a Placemat, the one that started it all off. I originally designed this for #popularpatchworkmagazine a few years ago when they asked for a mini quilt that represented a few favourites! For me it was scraps, log cabins (my first love in quilt blocks) and the colour purple (I'm a child of the '70,s!!). I've seen these made as placemats in lots of different colours and backgrounds and they always work!! #quiltedplacemats #logcabin #logcabinheart #miniquilt #scrappyheart #heartmat

It's the final week of #kindredspiritsqal and this week we are quilting and binding our flimsies! I can finally show you both versions of my Kindred Spirits quilts. The Coastal version is made with fabrics by @makoweruk and professionally long-arm quilted by the uber talented @trudi_wood (swipe left to see close up of the quilting). The 2nd quilt is my scrappy Tilda version, where I tested out all the blocks! I quilted this one in an organic wavy horizontal line. You can read more about both of these quilts on the blog. It's the final week of #kindredspiritsqal and this week we are quilting and binding our flimsies! I can finally show you both versions of my Kindred Spirits quilts. And here it is! My #britbee round 4 quilt top finished! It only took nearly 6 years but we made it! I love everything about it, but mostly because it represents a group of talented quilters who are very dear to me. This is our final week making blocks in #kindredspiritsqal . We have 1 x 9" Circle of Hearts block and 2 x 9" Orange Peel blocks to make, both applique and both very simple!!
