Hello there, well most of the nation is in white-out this week, with our worst snow fall in many years.
My little green patch of home however, is still .......... green, but it might not stay that way for long, with more snow in the forecast!
Definitely the weather for snuggling under cosy quilts!
This is Hippy Blush!
I had a lot of fun designing this one! The editor of Popular Patchwork wanted me to work with one of Art Gallery's recent collections, Blush by Dana Willard.
These bold, retro prints needed an equally bold, retro design. So I got in touch with my inner hippy (she's still waiting to 'come out'!) and went with big statement circles and curves.
By now you will know I love 'curvy' quilts, and especially the versatility of the humble drunkard's path!
And of course, the larger the curves, the easier they are to piece!
I will be teaching curved piecing after Easter in my classes, so stayed tuned for a project update on that.
In the meantime, you can check out the full Hippy Blush pattern in the March issue of Popular Patchwork, out now!
Happy sewing!
