Hello everyone! How is your week going? Brrrrrrrr what an icy week we've had here.
There's a definite feel of Christmas in our house now. The first Christmas in our new home, and I'm pleased to say, the tree fits!!! Phew!
And another Christmas addition this year will be my Gingerbread Men Garland, as seen in the December issue of Popular Patchwork.
I first made this last year for my 'Gingerbread loving' daughter, while she was still at uni.
So now we each have a set!
Felt is great to work with, a really stable textile with secure raw edges. You can read more about the making process here.
My Gingerbread Men garland was adorning the Christmas display in my new classroom, for the open day last Saturday.
But they have found their way back home now and are decorating my mantle at home!
So are your decorations up yet?
At least that's one tick off my Christmas list. Just the small matter of some Christmas shopping to do now.
Happy decorating!
Glad the tree still fits! I love the gingerbread men (and the penguin above them in the studio!), I may have to make some...next year! Decorations are mainly up, tree is up and getting lights and toys later today...
