A special friend of mine had her birthday at the weekend, and this is what I made her.
This is my take on the Juniper Basket, by my uber talented quilty friend, Svetlana of SOTAK Handmade.
Svetlana’s patterns are always so well written, and she includes 2 sizes for this cute basket. I made the small size.
I’ve been doing a little EPP (English Paper Piecing) in the evenings, using up some pretty Tilda scraps.
I know my friend likes Tilda too so it was a no brainer when it came to choosing fabrics!
I quilted some Essex Yarn Dyed Linen (Flax) for the exterior – always a great partner for Tilda!
I think this would a perfect basket for a knitting or crochet project, or even some EPP!!
Svetlana’s Juniper Basket pattern is available here, but be sure to check out the rest of her store! She has lots of beautiful bag and pouch patterns to choose from!
Happy sewing!
Lucky friend, it’s beautiful. I love the EPP addition, makes it extra special.
Your friend adores it!! And, I can’t believe it’s the small one. It’s a great size. Thank you so much xx
I’m so pleased! Definitely going to make more of these. Hope you had a lovely day! Jxo
