Blogiversary Giveaway!

I'm 10 years old!! Yay!

I started blogging on 20th December 2010, encouraged by of one of my best friends @sewmesarah who had just started her blog a few days previous!

What a lot has happened since then, and oh my, how the time has flown by!

To celebrate, I'm hosting a giveaway!

I recently made a Mixed Textile Clutch as a secret santa gift, and enjoyed the process so much I just had to make another!

Similar to the last clutch, this one includes Italian & British wool, Irish Linen, Liberty cotton, sumptuous Jersey suiting, repurposed denim and vintage sheet lining!

I really enjoyed the slow hand stitching of the boro patches before, and included this same technique in this pouch.

The reused duffle coat button and leather buckle piece are sensitive to the re-loved ethos of this entire pouch.

I love everything about this pouch, and I hope you do too!

I'm also giving away a half yard bundle of selected Art Gallery fabrics and 4 spools of Aurifil 12wt wool threads, perfect for hand embroidery or boro stitching!

So if you fancy getting your hands on these goodies, here are 3 ways you can enter:

  1. leave a comment here telling me something you would like to make in 2021
  2. follow @justjudebelfast on Instagram & leave a comment there
  3. like and leave a comment on the giveaway post on our Facebook page

International entries welcome!

You have until Tuesday 5th January to enter.  The winner will be announced across all social media accounts on 5th.

Good luck everyone!

  2. A decade of creations -well done
I would like to make a backpack to carry my sewing materials etc so hands free to carry my sewing machine

  3. Congrats on 10 years.
In 2021 I definitely would like to finish some projects that have been sitting for a while but I have discovered all over again and have fallen in love with again but as for new projects I will be making a baby quilt for my neighbors who after years of trying finally have a baby on the way.

  4. Next year, I would like to make a difference. I have been shielding since March and have only been able to watch how people in all walks of life have been affected by COVID-19. Once I’m set free, I want to offer my abilities to an organisation who could make use them. Here’s to a healthy new year!

  5. 10 years! Wow - I've lost track myself. It's been an adventure I wouldn't have been without. Happy blogiversary sweet friend. Thanks for sharing all of your talent and knowledge and passion with us. Here's to the next 10 years and whatever it may bring. (Don't enter me in the giveaway, I've already got many lovelies fro you and someone else deserves some that pleasure too.) For 2021 I want to settle in to using my new sewing space well and crack lots of my many WIPs, though I would also like to make a few project bags for my cross-stitch and embroideries.

  6. Congratulations! 10 years of blogging is quite an accomplishment! I enjoy reading your posts and am looking forward to what the next 10 years bring you. For 2021, I would like to complete a quilt I started for my son.

  12. Congratulations on ten years! I still have a blog but haven’t really kept it up the last two years. But I also get long-winded on Instagram, so I keep telling myself I will get back to it. Love your boro/sashiko stitched bag.

  13. HI Judith, i would absolutely love to make the demin pouch as above, its really gorgeous and also the one you made for your daughters friends christmas present.

  14. I want to take a stab at finishing quilt tops. I finish one and move on to starting a new quilt I am excited about. One I want to make is the plaid-ish quilt.

  15. Happy anniversary! This year I hope to make some bags to organise all my sewing stuff. I’d also like to have a go at wall hangings!

  16. Happy anniversary. I have made several pouches in the past but being inspired by your use of mixed textiles and recycled fabrics I hope to be more adventurous this year. I also hope to complete 2 quilts for my granddaughters this. Keep inspiring us.

  17. Happy blogaversary! I’ve decided that 2021 is going to be my year of finishes - all those WIPs will finally be completed!....that’s the theory anyway.....!!

  18. Happy blogaversary. It is so lovely that you are still going strong when so many blogs are no longer there for weekly inspiration and sewing love. One thing that I really want/need to make this year is a sewing machine cover, at the minute I use the ugly plastic cover that it came with, it just have four sides though and not open sides as so many do as I want it to be completely covered. x

  19. I have such a long list for 2021 but first up is a request from the shelter for I Spy quilts. Then I must make a Jack's Chain for my sister.
